Loukas Mavrokefalidis was under contract with Olympiacos for the next season, but the excellent season the player had with Maroussi "forced" the Reds to extend his contract for a further year.
It was more to show the player how much he is appreciated in the port and so Mavrokefalidis will be staying with Olympiacos until 2011.
The player should see significant minutes on court after Giorgos Printezis left for Malaga, as it is only him and Zoran Erceg sharing the power-forward position and Mavrokefalidis seems to be more "ready" than the Serbian.
