Following their trade deadline activity, the Indiana Pacers currently have an open spot on their 15-man roster, and general manager Chad Buchanan told Tony East that elevating Quenton Jackson from his two-way contract is a “real possibility” to fill that vacancy.
Buchanan emphasized Jackson’s importance beyond statistics, describing him as “a big part of our culture in our locker room” while praising the guard’s energy, toughness, and consistently positive mindset.
Jackson still has eligibility remaining on his two-way agreement, with 18 games left before a decision must be made, which gives Indiana flexibility in its timing.
Because the Pacers are operating less than $900K below the luxury tax threshold, there is no immediate pressure to convert his contract, allowing the team to wait before making a final roster move.
Jackson has played 4 seasons for the Pacers and Wizards. He has averaged 6.6 points in 66 regular-season games.
