Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel have earned the NBA’s Rookie of the Month honors for January, representing the Western and Eastern Conferences respectively.

Flagg turned in strong production for the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 20.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists during the month.

Knueppel was similarly impressive for the Charlotte Hornets, posting averages of 17.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

Both Flagg and Knueppel, former Duke standouts, also captured the award in November and December. They are now aiming to become the ninth and 10th players in league history to win Rookie of the Month in every month of their rookie campaigns.

Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James accomplished the sweep during the 2003-04 season, while Karl-Anthony Towns was the most recent rookie to do so, joining an exclusive group that also includes David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and Damian Lillard.
