Pau Gasol has signed for the San Antonio Spurs and to clear cap space for his arrival, French international Boris Diaw has gone to the Utah Jazz in exchange for point guard Olivier Hanlan.
The 34-year-old forward learned of his fate whilst in Manila on international duty with France.

Gasol meanwhile is in the middle of training camp with the Spanish national side as they prepare for the Rio Olympics, which begin next month.
The Eurobasket MVP signs a two-year deal worth $40million.
