The Los Angeles Clippers survived the late rally against the Washington Wizards 110-106, earning their sixth straight victory on Monday night.

James Harden dropped 36 points, making two free throws under 36.9 seconds left to give the Clippers a lead of 108-106, and after the teams traded scoreless possessions.

After Wizards Kyshawn George missed a three-pointer, Harden was fouled again with 5.9 seconds left, but missed both free throws, although having 16 for 16 from the line.

Washington could not secure the rebound as the ball bounced back to Harden and was fouled again, securing two free throws this time to seal the win.

The Wizards have lost seven straight.

Despite the two teams having been headed in opposite directions of late, this game was close basically the whole way.

Harden’s layup put the Clippers up by three, but Khris Middleton was fouled while shooting a three with 57.6 seconds left, and made all three free throws to tie it at 106.

The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard for the second time due to injury, while Trae Young still has not played since being traded to the Wizards from the Hawks.

Alex Sarr led Washington with 28 points, while George added 18, six assists, and six rebounds, but missed a trio of key shots in the last couple of minutes.

Los Angeles won despite cold shooting, 5 of 28 from beyond the arc.

The Clippers play road against Chicago on Tuesday, while Washington hosts Denver on Thursday.
