Sacramento Kings big man Precious Achiuwa spoke highly of his defensive versatility after Wednesday’s 112-101 home win vs. the New York Knicks (20 points/14 rebounds/2 assists/2 steals/2 blocks/7-14 FG/2-4 3-PT/4-7 FT/+16 +/-).
(via Sacramento Kings):
“Defense is something that I could hang my hat on any time of the… any day, any night. A lot of guys around the league talk about defense, defense… I put myself up there with the best of ‘em — being able to guard point guards all the way through centers. If you look at the last ten games or so, I’ve guarded… pretty much every primary assignment (has) been every position from point guards to centers. Today, I was guarding primarily point guards. Last game, Kevin Durant. You can go back, the list goes on. But it’s just something that, I think, I’m up there with the best of ‘em in the league and just continuing to get better in that position.”
