Dallas Mavericks small forward Naji Marshall’s name has continued to surface in league conversations as teams scan the wing market, and interest around him is real.
Marc Stein reports that multiple front offices have checked in on Marshall’s availability, though Dallas has not been eager to move him.
Internally, the Mavericks view the 27-year-old as a player who has delivered far more than his contract suggests, making him a difficult piece to part with.
Marshall has carved out a steady role with his two-way impact, averaging 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in just under 29 minutes per game.
His versatility on both ends has stood out, especially on a roster that values adaptable defenders who can also score without dominating the ball.
While Dallas’ preference is to keep Marshall, Stein notes that the door isn’t completely closed. If a trade proposal were to offer meaningful salary relief, the Mavericks would at least listen.
