The Los Angeles Clippers face the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, January 10, with both teams managing key injuries ahead of a 7:00 p.m. ET tipoff at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit enters the matchup with the NBA’s best record at 28–9, while Los Angeles sits at 14–23 and 11th in the Western Conference as it continues to search for consistency.
The Clippers’ injury report remains crowded, starting with Bradley Beal, who is out for the season with a left hip fracture after appearing in just six games this season.
Bogdan Bogdanovic is also ruled out due to left hamstring injury management. Derrick Jones Jr. will miss the game with a right knee sprain, removing an athletic wing who has averaged 10.4 points in his limited appearances. Chris Paul remains out and not with the team.
The most impactful uncertainty for Los Angeles is Kawhi Leonard, who is listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain after averaging 27.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in 27 games.
If Leonard is limited or unavailable, the Clippers are expected to lean heavily on James Harden, who leads the team at 25.8 points and 8.0 assists per game.
Ivica Zubac’s interior presence could also become more central, as he averages 14.9 points and 10.8 rebounds while anchoring the defense.
Detroit’s injury concerns begin with Cade Cunningham, who is questionable due to a right wrist contusion after carrying the offense at 26.7 points and 9.7 assists per game.
Jalen Duren has already been ruled out with a right ankle sprain, removing a double-double threat who averages 17.9 points and 10.6 rebounds.
Tobias Harris is also out with a left hip sprain. Isaiah Stewart is listed as questionable due to illness.
The Pistons enter the game on a three-game winning streak, including back-to-back home wins over Chicago and New York.
Los Angeles is coming off a 121–105 road win over Brooklyn, snapping a brief skid and maintaining a one-game winning streak.
The teams met once earlier this season, when the Clippers earned a 112–99 home win on December 28.
