The Golden State Warriors dethroned the Milwaukee Bucks 120-113 on Wednesday night.
Stephen Curry dropped 31 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, highlighted by a step-back three-pointer with 26 seconds left to seal the win.
The three-point king shot 12 for 21 with three 3s. Making his first from deep at 4:44 of the opening quarter.
Warriors’ De’Anthony Melton added 22 points off the bench, Jimmy Butler finished with 21 points and five rebounds, and Al Horford added eight points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in one of his best all-around games since joining the team.
On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists while Kevin Porter Jr. contributed 15 points, nine assists, and four rebounds, but not enough to overcome Golden State’s 18 made three-pointers and a 53-42 rebounding disadvantage.
The Bucks had won two in a row and four of five, getting two full days off after a 115-98 win at Sacramento on Sunday.
The two-time MVP made 3 of his first four shots for seven quick points and wound up 15 for 22 from the floor, missing five of his seven free throws.
Milwaukee has lost six straight on the Warriors’ home floor, dating to a win on January 8, 2020, in the first season at Chase Center.
Both teams will play on Friday evening, as the Bucks take on the Lakers, while the Warriors host the Kings.
