The Atlanta Hawks have placed forward Eli Ndiaye on waivers, the team confirmed in an official announcement.
Ndiaye, a rookie free agent who previously played for Real Madrid, signed a two-way deal with Atlanta in early July shortly after going undrafted.
He was viewed as a long-term developmental piece, but he did not appear in any NBA games during the 2025–26 season, spending his time with the College Park Skyhawks in the G League.
During his stint in College Park, the 21-year-old appeared in nine games, starting seven of them.
He averaged 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals while logging just over 26 minutes per game, showing flashes of versatility and defensive activity.
Unfortunately, his season was cut short after he suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder during a G League game on December 9.
The injury will require surgery, which is expected to take place in early January, officially ending his season.
