Israel’s Champion Mark Lyons Gets Qualifying Offer To Stay With The Champions

Point guard Mark Lyons received a qualifying offer from his current club today to stay with the Israeli Champions Maccabi Rishon LeZion, a club that just shocked the Israeli basketball world and won the Israel Championship for the first time in their history.

Lyons who is drawing interest from nearly every major country in European basketball has until the end of July to accept the offer. Lyons ranked within the top ten in both scoring and assists in the Israel Winner BSL League and in conjunction with winning the BSL Championship he led his team to the Final 8 of FIBA Europe Cup being the only team to beat the Champion Frankfurt Skyliners in a game. Lyons ranked 7th in that league averaging 17.2 points in scoring and added 4.4 assists per game.
