The Lakers outscored the Pelicans in the first half, leading 46-27 and 77-57 at the half, which was the most points scored in any quarter this season, tying for the fifth-highest opening quarter in franchise history.
New Orleans was shorthanded, as Zion Williamson was out with a hamstring injury and Trey Murphy III was sidelined due to an elbow setback.
Saddiq Bey contributed 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Bryce McGowens added 23 points for the Pelicans.
They found their offense in the third quarter, shooting 62.5% from the floor in the period and pulling to 100-89.
The Lakeshow aims to extend its winning streak when it faces the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, while the Pelicans look forward to ending their slump against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
