Dubai signs Taran Armstrong

Dubai Basketball has reportedly signed Australian point guard Taran Armstrong, sources told ESPN’s Olgun Uluc. Armstrong joins the team to bolster a roster that has already begun its debut EuroLeague campaign.

The club opened its season with a win against Partizan (89–76) and a loss against AS Monaco (103–81) before facing Olympiacos. In the Adriatic League, Dubai suffered a 92–58 loss to Split on 6 October.

Armstrong, 23, comes from the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 11 games during the 2024–25 G League season.

He previously played two seasons with the Cairns Taipans, posting 17.1 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in 19 games.

Dubai’s roster includes veterans such as Klemen Prepelic, Awudu Abass, and Davis Bertans, along with young talents like Filip Petrusev.
