LeBron James’ “Second Decision” post on social media drew attention to fans’ concerns about his retirement, as he enters his 23rd year in the NBA season.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ head tactician, JJ Redick, knew it was all for the commercial, with no second thoughts about their superstar’s retirement this season.

“We all knew it was an ad, right?” Redick said after practice on Tuesday, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Redick then cracked to the group of reporters around him: “You guys are idiots.”

There were also reactions from Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, who knew James was just having fun around.

“I’ve got a couple of calls, like ‘What is this?’” Reaves said.

“He loves to do that type of stuff,” Hachimura added.

It has been a worrying moment for the fans as James emphasized “the decision of all decisions.” James revealed the purpose of the post on Tuesday.

The four-time champion and MVP sat down for an interview while wearing a red and white checkered shirt in an advertisement for Hennessy Cognac.

The last time he had this type of interview was for a TV special that aired on ESPN in 2010, when he announced his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and join the Miami Heat.
