CSKA Moscow guard Nando De Colo has been crowned the 2015-16 Euroleague Most Valuable Player in Berlin during the opening Final Four press conference.

The French international adds the MVP award to his Alphonso Ford Scoring trophy and First Team honours that he has already won this season.

In 25 Euroleague games, De Colo has averaged 18.9 points and 4.9 assists a game plus has shot 46.2 percent from three-point land, hitting 43 of his 93 attempts. He has been the driving force behind CSKA Moscow’s path to the Final Four in Berlin this season.

“It’s amazing, I am very happy and proud to get this trophy of MVP in the best competition,” De Colo said. But we are not done, we have two more games and need to stay focused. but this is great. All season I did my best to help the team and this is the most important.

“It’s always good to have individual trophies, but the most important thing is team spirit. I am very proud of playing in CSKA Moscow with my teammates, they make me a better player.”

De Colo becomes the eleventh winner of the Euroleague MVP award and he is the first Frenchman to win the accolade.
