The Dallas Mavericks are moving forward with plans to sign forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to a training camp deal, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line via Twitter.
While the exact terms of the agreement haven’t been disclosed, sources indicate it will likely be an Exhibit 10 contract, giving both the player and team flexibility.
Robinson-Earl, a four-year NBA veteran, began his career after being drafted 32nd overall by the Knicks, who selected him on behalf of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He spent two seasons with Oklahoma City before joining the New Orleans Pelicans, where he played a career-high 66 games last season.
During that campaign, he averaged 6.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per game while shooting 34.1% from three-point range, showing versatility as a floor-spacing big man.
This signing would fill the 21st and final training camp roster spot for Dallas.
The Mavericks currently boast depth at the frontcourt positions, with Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg, Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington, Dereck Lively II, and Dwight Powell all expected to contribute in rotation roles at either the four or five spots.

Despite the limited opportunity, Robinson-Earl reportedly chose to accept the Mavericks’ non-guaranteed deal rather than pursue opportunities overseas, where there had been some interest in his services.
This decision underscores his desire to remain in the NBA and compete for a roster spot, as Stein observes.
The Mavericks’ coaching staff will likely evaluate him closely during training camp to determine whether he can carve out a role in Dallas’ frontcourt rotation for the upcoming season.
