Anadolu Efes is finalizing a deal to bring in American guard Jordan Loyd, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. The veteran scorer is expected to join the Turkish powerhouse after a standout EuroBasket run.
Stein reported that Real Madrid explored the possibility of signing Loyd but faced too many hurdles to secure his exit from AS Monaco. Efes has now positioned itself to land the 32-year-old, adding him to a summer class that already includes Cole Swider and Kai Jones.
Loyd’s move would give Anadolu Efes another proven perimeter option. The guard has averaged 12.3 points per game across 159 EuroLeague contests, shooting 49.2% from two-point range and 87.8% from the free-throw line. His scoring consistency has made him a valued asset at every stop.
At EuroBasket 2025, Loyd lifted his stock with several explosive performances. He posted 32 points against Slovenia and added 27 against Israel in the group phase. Across seven games, he averaged 22.4 points while shooting 42.2% from beyond the arc and 87.5% at the line.
The deal also signals Efes’ intent to reestablish itself as a EuroLeague contender. The club, which won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, has not returned to the Final Four since.
