Jusuf Nurkic became the 10th highest-scoring Bosnian player in FIBA EuroBasket history after tallying 18 points in Bosnia’s narrow 80-77 victory over Greece.

Appearing in just his ninth EuroBasket game, Nurkic’s performance pushed his all-time total in the competition to 148 points, moving him past Nihad Djedovic, who had held the 10th spot with 142 points.

He now trails only Jasmin Hukic, who has 153 points, and has a chance to climb even higher in upcoming games.

At the top of the Bosnian scoring list is Mirza Delibasic, who scored 348 points while representing Yugoslavia from 1975 to 1981.

Other prominent names include Sabahudin Bilalovic (217 points), Mirza Teletovic (195 points), and Mario Primorac (192 points), reflecting the country’s rich basketball history.

Nurkic’s consistent contributions have already made a significant impact for the Dragons, and he will have another opportunity to extend his tally when Bosnia concludes Group C play against Georgia on Thursday.
