It has been rumored lately that Ricky Rubio had agreed terms with Real Madrid, with Joventut receiving 3.5 million euro buyout. The player however has denied any agreement and stated that he does not know where he will play next year.
"It is a lie. We have no idea where this rumor originated. Ricky has not reached an agreement with anyone." stated a source close to the player. Rubio is seriously considering staying in Europe for a couple of years longer since he is not pleased with the situation in the NBA.
Meanwhile in a turn of events, Unicaja Malaga decided to make a move on aquiring Rubio, after losing Cabezas to Khimki. The club is reported to have made an offer for a 3-year deal and sources close to the player say that he prefers to play for Unicaja rather than for Real.
