Bosnia and Herzegovina have officially announced their 12-man roster for the upcoming FIBA EuroBasket 2025, with NBA big man Jusuf Nurkic leading the way as the team’s centerpiece.
Head coach Adis Beciragic finalized the squad just ahead of Bosnia’s last two preparation games against Belgium, which will serve as the final tests before their 11th all-time appearance at EuroBasket.
The confirmed roster features: Amar Alibegovic, Edin Atic, Jusuf Nurkic, Miralem Halilovic, Ajdin Penava, Aleksandar Lazic, Adin Vrabac, Adnan Arslanagic, Kenan Kamenjas, Tarik Hrelja, John Roberson, and Amar Begic.
The Bosnian Dragons have had a mixed warm-up campaign, playing six friendlies in total. After opening with four consecutive defeats, they regained momentum with back-to-back wins over Great Britain and Belgium, giving fans renewed optimism heading into the tournament.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will look to build on their exciting run at FIBA EuroBasket 2022, where they showed flashes of brilliance but ultimately fell short of the knockout rounds.
Historically, their only trip past the Group Phase came in 1993, so the ambition this year is clear: to make it back to the knockout stage.
However, the challenge will be steep. The team will be missing several key contributors, including Dzanan Musa, Luka Garza, and Xavier Castaneda, meaning the weight of expectation will fall heavily on Nurkic’s shoulders.

Bosnia will compete in Group C, based in Limassol, Cyprus, where they’ll face a daunting set of opponents: co-hosts Cyprus, as well as heavyweights Italy, Spain, Greece, and Georgia.
Their campaign begins with a crucial opening clash against Cyprus on August 28 at 17:15 CET, a game that could set the tone for their entire EuroBasket journey.
