The Orlando Magic are bringing in free agent guard Lester Quinones on an Exhibit 10 contract, per reports from Michael Scotto (HoopsHype) and Jason Beede (Orlando Sentinel).

Quinones, who went undrafted out of Memphis in 2022, has logged 54 NBA games across three seasons, with his most productive stint coming in 2023/24 for the Golden State Warriors. That year, he averaged 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in limited minutes, shooting 36.4% from deep.

The 6’4″ guard spent last season moving between teams. He opened the year with the Sixers on a two-way deal, was waived in December, then joined the Pelicans on another two-way contract in March before being released this summer.

In 2024/25, Quinones appeared in just 13 NBA games but thrived in the G League, averaging 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists across 41 contests with the Birmingham Squadron and Delaware Blue Coats, despite some efficiency issues and turnovers.

For Orlando, Quinones represents a depth option who could push for the team’s final two-way slot. The Magic currently have Orlando Robinson and Jamal Cain under two-way deals, leaving one spot open.

While Quinones faces long odds of landing a standard roster spot due to the team’s tight salary situation and first-apron hard cap, his Exhibit 10 deal allows for flexibility.

If waived, he could join the Lakeland Magic in the G League and earn a bonus of up to $85,300 – provided the affiliate secures his rights.

In short, Quinones has a chance to prove himself in camp, with the more realistic path being a two-way contract or a return to the G League.
