New York Knicks swingman Josh Hart recently underwent a medical procedure on his right ring finger following an injury suffered during the NBA playoffs.

The team announced he is expected to resume basketball activities later in the summer, per a report from NBA insider Michael Scotto.

Hart, 30, played a key role for the Knicks throughout the 2024–25 season, averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists while leading the league in minutes at 37.6 per game. His durability and versatility helped New York reach the Eastern Conference finals.

During the postseason, Hart continued to make an impact on both ends of the floor. He averaged 11.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over 18 playoff games, including a historic triple-double performance in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics.

In that matchup, Hart posted 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, becoming the first Knicks player since Walt Frazier in 1972 to record a playoff triple-double. That game also marked just the third playoff triple-double in franchise history.
