The Italian basketball league [LegaBasket] will be free to join any European competition of their choice, it has been announced.

So far, EA7 Milano have an A-licence for the Euroleague and recently, Reggio Emilia, Dinamo Sassari and Trento all agreed deals to compete in the Eurocup until 2019.

But the LegaBasket clubs have unanimously signed the agreement for their shares with the new FIBA Basketball Champions League SA, so remaining clubs might look to play in the newly-formatted Champions League.
