Charlotte Hornets guard Josh Green underwent surgery to address instability in his left shoulder, the team confirmed.
The Hornets announced the procedure through an official statement and noted that Green is “expected to make a full recovery.”
Green, 24, appeared in 68 games this season, starting in 67 of them for Charlotte.
He averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 27.8 minutes per game while shooting 39.1 percent from three-point range.
This marks the first major injury Green has dealt with since joining the Hornets in July 2024 via a six-team trade that also involved the Mavericks, 76ers, Warriors, Nuggets, and Timberwolves.
The transaction, which remains the NBA’s only six-team trade, sent Green to Charlotte as part of a complex sign-and-trade arrangement.
Green is entering the second year of a three-year, $13.7 million contract.
He was one of the few consistent rotation pieces during a difficult season for the Hornets, who finished 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 19–63 record.
Green was originally drafted 18th overall in 2020 by Dallas, where he spent three seasons before the trade.
