Despite swirling trade talk, Anthony Edwards isn’t on a mission to persuade veteran forward Kevin Durant to join the Minnesota Timberwolves.
That’s according to Marc J. Spears, who clarified on NBA Today that Edwards is fully focused on Minnesota, not recruiting Durant for a reunion.
“Talked to some people close to Anthony Edwards,” Spears said. “This is a non‑story. He’s in Atlanta working out. He loves his former teammate. He loves his current teammates. Some people close to me said he’s focused on what’s next with this team. And he’s not flying to L.A. to try to convince K.D. anything different.”
Edwards and Durant share a strong bond, having won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics together. Still, Edwards isn’t diverting energy toward luring Durant back into his orbit.
