According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, the Detroit Pistons are expected to pursue a frontcourt upgrade this offseason, with a specific focus on acquiring a big man who can stretch the floor and provide consistent outside shooting.

Sources indicate that the Pistons have expressed interest in several potential targets, including Minnesota Timberwolves forward-center Naz Reid and Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner.

Reid, known for his versatility and shooting ability, has a $15 million player option for the upcoming season. He must decide whether to exercise that option or test the open market by June 29.

The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are reportedly aiming to be proactive in improving their roster and may look to retain Reid or explore trade possibilities if he opts in.

Myles Turner, another name on Detroit’s radar, has long been valued for his rim protection and three-point shooting – a rare combination among big men.

However, league insiders believe that Turner is likely to remain with the Pacers, as mutual interest in a new deal between the two sides appears strong.

With the Pistons in the early stages of a rebuild, securing a modern big who can space the floor and complement their young core remains a priority as they enter a critical offseason.
