Orlando Magic power forward Jonathan Isaac says that coming into the 2024-25 season at 250 pounds didn’t work out for him (averaged 5.4 PPG/4.4 RPG/0.6 APG/0.5 TOV/0.9 SPG/1.1 BPG/41.4% FG/25.8% 3-PT/68.2% FT/15.4 MPG in 71 games played).

“We thought it would be a good idea with me possibly having some more time at the 5 and stuff like that to put on some more weight, but it just doesn’t work with the way I play, especially with the way I defend. And so, I think it was a misstep.”
