Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown spoke with the media on Saturday ahead of the team’s much-anticipated second-round playoff matchup against the New York Knicks.
A major focus point was Brown’s health, as he had been listed as questionable for every game of Boston’s first-round series against the Orlando Magic due to a bone bruise in his right knee.
Despite the earlier uncertainty, the player delivered a reassuring update regarding his physical condition, indicating his nearing full strength.
“I’m trending toward 100%,” Brown said confidently when asked about the status of his knee.
Importantly, he noted that medical evaluations revealed no structural damage, and he’s been experiencing steady progress in his recovery.
“I’m taking it one day at a time. I think I’m starting to turn the curve,” he said. “Structurally, everything is fine. I’ve had some other stuff going on, but I think I’m trending in the right direction.”
