Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce sees superstar potential in Jayson Tatum – so much so that he believes Tatum could one day match or even surpass Kevin Durant’s all-time greatness.

Pierce drew direct comparisons between the two elite forwards, highlighting not just their similar skill sets but also Tatum’s unique advantages.

“He can do everything KD can do,” Pierce said, emphasizing Tatum’s versatility. “They’re similar in a lot of ways. He might even have more of a handle. His bag is just as good. He can shoot. He can score just like him.”

According to Pierce, Tatum has already developed into a dynamic offensive weapon with a polished scoring package that rivals Durant’s.

With continued growth, he believes the Celtics star has the tools to be mentioned in the same breath as one of the most gifted scorers in NBA history.

Tatum has played 8 seasons for Boston. He has averaged 23.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 585 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 5 All-Star games, and has won 1 NBA championship.
