According to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, the New York Knicks face an uphill battle as they will need to quickly recover from a physically demanding and mentally exhausting series to have any shot at advancing past Boston.

The upcoming matchup with the Celtics presents a major challenge, and the Knicks must find a way to regain their strength and focus in a short amount of time.

The Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, who has some experience in facing defending champions in the postseason, offered valuable insight.

Last spring, his Timberwolves managed to eliminate the Denver Nuggets in a grueling seven-game series, and Towns believes that experience taught him crucial lessons about the mental and physical preparation needed for high-stakes playoff basketball.

“With that experience, we learned a lot,” Towns said. “You gotta be ready for Game 9, you gotta be ready to have that energy and emotional capacity.”

Towns’ words serve as a reminder that after an intense series, teams need to dig deep, not only physically but emotionally, to meet the demands of another round against a formidable opponent like Boston.
