Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised Luka Doncic’s unwavering confidence heading into the postseason, stating the All-Star guard “thinks there’s not a person in the world who can guard him.”

The quote came during Redick’s pre-playoff media availability, highlighting Doncic’s mental edge as the Lakers prepare for their first-round matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Since being traded from Dallas on February 2, Doncic has averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game while helping the Lakers secure the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

Doncic, who led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals last season, has formed a potent offensive duo with LeBron James, giving the Lakers one of the most dynamic backcourts in the league.

The Lakers will host Game 1 against Minnesota on Saturday, a matchup that features the Timberwolves’ elite defense anchored by Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels.

Minnesota finished the regular season at 49-33 and ranked among the league’s top teams in defensive rating, setting up a high-stakes chess match between Doncic’s offensive creativity and the Timberwolves’ length.

The Lakers, who average 113.4 points per game, will lean on Doncic’s playmaking to exploit mismatches and control the game’s tempo.
