Since taking over as the primary orchestrator of the Bulls’ offense following Zach LaVine’s trade at the deadline, Coby White has elevated his game to new heights, writes Julia Poe of The Chicago Tribune.
Given full control of the offense, the 6’5” guard has embraced the opportunity and responded with the best stretch of basketball in his career.
In 16 of his last 17 games, White has scored 20 or more points, showcasing not just consistency but elite-level production.
He and LaVine now stand alone in franchise history as the only Bulls players to ever record over 400 points and 40 three-pointers in a single month.
On Sunday, as the Bulls faced the Hornets, White’s first made three-pointer of the night officially etched his name in the record books as the most prolific single-season three-point shooter in Bulls history.
Despite the individual accolades, White remains focused on the bigger picture – improving every day and trusting the process.
“I’m not going to limit myself to anything,” the guard said. “I’m going to continue to get better, continue to be who I am and put my all into this game. Whatever happens after that happens.”
