Derik Queen officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft on Friday night, announcing an appearance on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.
“I’m proud to say I’m entering the 2025 NBA draft,” Queen said, confirming the decision many had anticipated after a standout season.
The Maryland big man helped lead the Terrapins to a memorable run to the Sweet 16 and is currently projected as the No. 10 overall pick in ESPN’s latest mock draft.
He was also named first-team All-Big Ten, capping off a strong season in which he showcased his scoring ability, averaging 18.6 points per game during the NCAA Tournament.
Queen’s size, touch around the basket, and feel for the game have impressed scouts, and his stock has steadily climbed throughout the season.
