Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for March 24-30, while Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero earned the honor for the Eastern Conference, the NBA announced.
This marks Green’s third career Player of the Week award and his second this season. He led the Rockets to a perfect 3-0 record with wins over Atlanta, Utah, and Phoenix, averaging 28.7 points on 50.8% shooting (40.9% from three), along with 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
Banchero, who previously won the award during his 2022-23 Rookie of the Year campaign, claimed the honor for the first time since then. He led Orlando to a 3-1 week, averaging 30.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 35.8 minutes per game.
Banchero is the second Magic forward to win Player of the Week this season, following Franz Wagner in November. Similarly, Houston has had multiple winners, with Alperen Sengun receiving the award in December.
Other nominees for the award included Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, James Harden, and Sengun in the West, while OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, Josh Giddey, Coby White, Tyrese Haliburton, Tyler Herro, and Donovan Mitchell were recognized in the East.
