Heat dominate Warriors in Jimmy Butler’s return to Miami

The Miami Heat overpowered the Golden State Warriors in a 112-86 victory on Tuesday night, spoiling Jimmy Butler’s first game back since his recent trade.

Bam Adebayo led Miami with 27 points, while Tyler Herro added 20 as the Heat (31-41) never trailed. Alec Burks chipped in 18, and Miami’s hot shooting from beyond the arc—hitting 17 of 25 attempts—helped seal the win.

Golden State (41-31) struggled offensively without Stephen Curry, who missed his second consecutive game due to a pelvic contusion. Butler finished with 11 points in his return, while Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with 15. Brandin Podziemski and Gui Santos added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

The Heat controlled the game early, outscoring Golden State 28-22 in the first quarter and extending the lead to 17 by halftime. The Warriors’ starters combined for just 10 points at the break.

Adebayo dominated in the paint, shooting 9-for-18 from the field, while Herro was a perfect 4-for-4 from deep. Miami’s defense held the Warriors to 39.8% shooting overall and just 9-for-38 from three-point range.

Nikola Jovic, who had been sidelined for 16 games with a hand injury, was cleared for basketball activities but did not play. His potential return could provide a boost for Miami as they fight to climb the Eastern Conference standings.
