According to the Turkish site Turkbasket.com Efes Pilsen has made an offer of 1 million dollars per season to Ricky Rubio. They are also reported to be willing to double the salary and offer 2 million dollars.
Rubio was recently drafted at number 5 by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but is not expected to play in the NBA this year, as he is still under contract with Joventut. The club is asking for a 6 million euro buyout with NBA teams being able under regulation to offer no more than 500.000 dollars for a buyout.
Real Madrid and Efes Pilsen are both reported to have shown interest in the player and it remains to be seen whether Rubio could reach some kind of agreement with his club in order to continue his career elsewhere.
