Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent had high praise for Luka Doncic, highlighting the star’s ability to control the game and create opportunities for his teammates.
Speaking about Doncic’s impact, Vincent emphasized the Slovenian’s playmaking ability and scoring versatility.
“Sometimes teams send three guys at him. It’s just amazing that he finds the open man time and time again,” Vincent said, via ClutchPoints.
Doncic, 26, has been a dominant force for Los Angeles since arriving in a blockbuster trade, averaging 26.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 8 assists per game.
Vincent acknowledged how Doncic’s presence makes life easier for his teammates, whether through scoring or facilitating.
“He makes the game so easy for us whether he’s getting to the free-throw line himself, or walking to the rim, or making a tough shot when we need one, or finding the open guy over and over again,” he added.
The Lakers, currently fourth in the Western Conference with a 43-26 record, have benefited from Doncic’s ability to read defenses and make the right plays.
Vincent, who is averaging 6.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 21.3 minutes per game, has played a key role in the team’s backcourt rotation.
With the postseason approaching, Los Angeles is looking to capitalize on Doncic’s leadership and playmaking to make a deep run.
