Jazz snap 10-game skid with convincing win over Wizards

The Utah Jazz halted their season-worst 10-game losing streak with a 128-112 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Kyle Filipowski led the way with 21 points, while Keyonte George added 20 as Utah (16-53) dominated the second half to secure the win. Collin Sexton contributed 18 points, and Brice Sensabaugh chipped in 17, helping the Jazz avoid falling into sole possession of the league’s worst record.

The Wizards (15-53) had entered the game on a better stretch, winning six of their last 11, but failed to keep up with Utah’s offensive efficiency.

Colby Jones stood out for Washington with a career-high 24 points in just his third game with the team. Rookie Alex Sarr added 22 points and nine rebounds but did not play in the fourth quarter.

Sensabaugh gave the Jazz a one-point lead at halftime with a buzzer-beating three, and they never looked back. Utah outscored Washington 64-49 in the second half, shooting 56.2% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range.

Jordan Poole, Washington’s leading scorer this season, had a rough night, finishing with just two points on 1-of-11 shooting, including 0-of-9 from deep. The Wizards also played without key reserve Corey Kispert, who was ruled out for the season due to thumb surgery.
