Knicks dominate Heat as Miami’s skid reaches eight games

Mikal Bridges scored 28 points, and Josh Hart secured his eighth triple-double of the season as the New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat 116-95 on Monday night.

New York (43-24) completed a 3-0 season sweep over Miami (29-39). The loss extended the Heat’s losing streak to eight games, marking the longest of Erik Spoelstra’s coaching tenure.

Karl-Anthony Towns added 23 points for the Knicks, igniting a turnaround after New York fell behind 12-0. Towns scored 15 consecutive points in the second quarter, helping the Knicks erase a 13-point deficit and take control.

The game took an unexpected turn in the third quarter when play was halted after actor and comedian Tracy Morgan vomited courtside. Following the delay, the Knicks dominated with a 24-6 run to enter the fourth leading 88-64.

Duncan Robinson led the Heat with 22 points, while Tyler Herro contributed 20.

Hart finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists, tying Walt Frazier’s franchise record of eight triple-doubles in a single season. He now ranks fourth in Knicks history with 14 triple-doubles.

The Knicks were without Jalen Brunson, but their depth proved enough to handle a struggling Heat squad.
