Curry, Butler combine for 58 points as Warriors edge Pistons

Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler combined for 58 points as the Golden State Warriors edged out the Detroit Pistons 115-110 on Saturday night.

Curry reached a career milestone, surpassing 25,000 points, while Butler took over in the third quarter to help Golden State secure its fourth straight win.

Curry finished with 32 points, hitting four 3-pointers and making all 12 of his free throws. He now needs seven more triples to become the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000. Butler added 26 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

Draymond Green played a pivotal role in the closing moments, knocking down a go-ahead 3-pointer with 35 seconds left. He later secured a crucial loose ball and sank a free throw to put the game out of reach. Moses Moody contributed 12 points, including a clutch 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 31 points and briefly gave Detroit the lead with a layup in the final minute. Malik Beasley provided 17 points off the bench, while Jalen Duren recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Isaiah Stewart received a technical foul in the fourth quarter after shoving Curry, who was also assessed a technical for his response.

Golden State (36-28) remains in sixth place in the Western Conference, strengthening its playoff positioning. Detroit (35-29) sits in the same spot in the East but has now dropped back-to-back games.
