White explodes for 44 points as Bulls edge Magic in thriller

Coby White delivered a career-high 44 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 125-123 victory over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. The Bulls (25-28) overcame a late deficit to secure the win, while the Magic (29-35) suffered their fifth straight loss.

White shot 16-of-28 from the field, including 7-of-15 from three-point range. He scored Chicago’s final nine points, sealing the game with a mix of layups, a dunk, and a clutch three-pointer.

Josh Giddey nearly recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, while Tre Jones contributed 20 points. The Bulls’ win improved their road record to 14-16 despite missing key players due to injuries.

Orlando was led by Paolo Banchero and Cole Anthony, who each scored 20 points. Franz Wagner added 18, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in 19 on 8-of-10 shooting. However, the Magic struggled from deep, hitting just 9-of-33 from beyond the arc.

The Magic entered the fourth quarter with a nine-point lead, but Chicago’s defense turned the tide. Jones and White came up with crucial steals late in the game, with White drilling a three-pointer with 2:18 remaining to put the Bulls ahead 123-121.

Orlando had multiple opportunities to regain the lead but failed to convert key shots down the stretch. Chicago secured the win at the free-throw line, handing the Magic a disappointing 1-6 record on their homestand.

The loss keeps Orlando in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, while Chicago strengthens its hold on the 10th seed. The Magic will look to snap their losing streak in their next outing, while the Bulls aim to build momentum.
