Haliburton fuels Pacers’ win over Rockets

Tyrese Haliburton delivered a dominant showing as the Indiana Pacers defeated the Houston Rockets 115-102 on Tuesday night.

Haliburton recorded 28 points and tied his season high with 15 assists, helping Indiana bounce back after squandering a 17-point lead in the third quarter.

Pascal Siakam added 18 points, and Myles Turner contributed 16 for the Pacers, who improved to 35-25 and remained fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Alperen Sengun led Houston with 25 points, while Tari Eason posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Rockets, now 37-25 and fifth in the Western Conference, have lost three straight games and 11 of their last 16.

Indiana built a 90-73 lead late in the third quarter before Houston stormed back with a 15-0 run.

Amen Thompson put the Rockets ahead 96-95 with 8:45 remaining, but Aaron Nesmith answered with a three-point play that ignited an 18-3 run for the Pacers.

Ben Sheppard halted Houston’s momentum with a crucial three-pointer early in the fourth quarter, his first basket of the night, to extend Indiana’s lead to five.

Haliburton has now recorded at least 10 assists in six consecutive games, his longest such streak this season.

Indiana shot 51.2% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range, while Houston struggled with a 40.8% shooting night, including 9-of-30 from deep.
