Houston Rockets point guard Fred VanVleet has been out of action since February 1 due to a right ankle strain.
According to head coach Ime Udoka, VanVleet’s ankle currently has about 80% of its normal range of motion, meaning he will miss Wednesday’s game.
The earliest possible return for VanVleet is expected to be on Saturday against Sacramento, per Danielle Lerner of The Houston Chronicle (subscriber-only story).
This season, VanVleet has been averaging 14.6 points, 5.8 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals across 45 games, playing 35.5 minutes per contest.
