The University of North Carolina has appointed experienced NBA player agent Jim Tanner as its new general manager, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (via Twitter).
Tanner, who has represented notable NBA players such as Desmond Bane, Jarrett Allen, Jeremy Sochan, and Luke Kornet, brings a wealth of expertise to the role, as confirmed by RealGM.
Jake Fischer reported last week that Tanner was one of the top candidates being strongly considered for the position.
