Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving broke down what makes the Golden State Warriors different with Jimmy Butler following Sunday’s 126-102 road loss (18 points/3 rebounds/5 assists/1 steal/1 block/5-9 FG/8-8 FT/+28 +/-).
(via Dallas Mavericks):
“There’s just a calmness or like a poise that they have. And also they could run a lot of offense using him as a decoy while also utilizing his skillset, which is post ups, midrange, screening, just being a pest out there on both ends of the floor. And then, he does all the little things for ‘em, covers a lot of their mistakes. A lot of their defensive identity comes from him. Obviously Draymond [Green]’s part of that, but adding Jimmy to the fold covers up a lot of your defensive liabilities.”
