The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their impressive run with a 130-107 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday night, maintaining their position as the top team in the Western Conference.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 21 points, while Chet Holmgren added 20. Jalen Williams contributed 18 points, and Isaiah Hartenstein pulled down 13 rebounds to help Oklahoma City secure its eighth win in nine games.

John Collins was the bright spot for Utah, finishing with 26 points. Keyonte George added 20, and Walker Kessler controlled the boards with 19 rebounds, but the Jazz struggled to keep pace.

Oklahoma City took control early, using a 15-4 run in the first quarter to build a 27-14 lead. Gilgeous-Alexander and Alex Caruso each contributed two baskets during the stretch, setting the tone for the game.

The Thunder continued to dominate, leading by as many as 25 points in the first half. A layup by Luguentz Dort in the final minute of the second quarter extended the advantage to 66-41.

Oklahoma City capitalized on Utah’s mistakes, turning 19 Jazz turnovers into 37 points. The Thunder’s defense disrupted Utah’s offense, leading to several fast-break opportunities.

The second quarter proved decisive, with Oklahoma City scoring 39 points to stretch the lead. Utah’s offense struggled to keep up, shooting just 55.6% from the free-throw line while giving up easy transition baskets.

Jaden Springer made his debut for Utah after signing a 10-day contract, finishing with seven points and two assists in 11 minutes. His presence provided a small spark off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to shift momentum.

Oklahoma City remained in control throughout the second half, maintaining a double-digit lead despite Utah’s attempts to rally in the third quarter. The Thunder matched their first-half intensity, scoring 31 points in both the third and fourth quarters.

Gilgeous-Alexander finished with eight assists to complement his scoring, while Caruso added six assists and two steals in a strong defensive effort. Isaiah Joe provided a lift off the bench, scoring 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Collins and George tried to keep Utah competitive, combining for 46 points, but the Jazz’s defensive struggles and turnovers allowed Oklahoma City to pull away. Utah was outscored in three of the four quarters and failed to slow down the Thunder’s offense.

The win keeps Oklahoma City atop the West with a 45-10 record, maintaining their hold on the conference’s best mark. The Jazz, now 13-42, remain near the bottom of the standings, searching for answers amid a difficult stretch.
