Mike Vaccaro of The New York Post argues that the Knicks have emerged as the undeniable winners of the trade for Karl-Anthony Towns, who he believes is the team’s best center since Patrick Ewing.

According to Vaccaro, Towns has significantly outperformed Julius Randle, who was sent to Minnesota as part of the deal, while Donte DiVincenzo has struggled with both an early-season shooting slump and a recent toe injury.

Additionally, Vaccaro highlights that the big man has shed any lingering doubts about his toughness, proving his durability by continuing to play through knee issues and a sprained thumb.

Towns has played 10 seasons for the Timberwolves and Knicks. He has averaged 23.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 622 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 4 All-Star games and has won the Rookie of the Year award.
