The Golden State Warriors are set to add Kevin Knox to their roster after the All-Star break. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the team intends to sign the 25-year-old forward to a 10-day contract.
Knox has been playing for the Warriors’ G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, since October. He has impressed with his production, averaging 19.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Golden State has been interested in Knox since his stint with the team during the 2024 NBA Summer League. He initially signed with the franchise in September but was waived before the regular season.
A former No. 9 overall pick, Knox has played 306 NBA games across six seasons. He holds career averages of 7.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 18 minutes per game.
With the Warriors navigating a competitive Western Conference playoff race, the addition of Knox provides depth at the wing position. His size and scoring ability could offer a boost off the bench.
Golden State currently has open roster spots, giving them flexibility to evaluate players on short-term deals. If Knox performs well, he could earn a longer stay with the team.
