Milwaukee (29-24) secured the win despite missing All-Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Minnesota (30-25) had a chance to tie or win, but Anthony Edwards’ jumper in the final seconds was off, and Kuzma secured the rebound to seal the victory.
Gary Trent Jr. led the Bucks with 21 points off the bench, helping the team snap a rough stretch of six losses in eight games.
Antetokounmpo missed his sixth straight game due to a left calf strain, while Lillard sat out with a right hamstring injury.
Edwards led all scorers with 28 points but struggled with efficiency, shooting 10-of-33 from the field and 4-of-16 from three-point range.
The Timberwolves played without Mike Conley (finger strain), Donte DiVincenzo (toe sprain), and Julius Randle (groin strain), further testing their depth.
Naz Reid contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota, while Rudy Gobert posted 20 points and 14 rebounds. Reid’s three-pointer gave Minnesota a 101-99 lead with 47.6 seconds remaining.
Kevin Porter Jr. responded with a mid-range jumper for Milwaukee to tie the game before Brook Lopez hit two free throws to put the Bucks ahead.
