Clippers cruise past Jazz

The Los Angeles Clippers snapped a three-game losing streak with a dominant 130-110 win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday night. Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac each scored 26 points to lead the Clippers to their 29th win of the season, improving their record to 29-23.

Zubac, who was an efficient 13-of-16 from the field, also grabbed 15 rebounds, setting a season-high in points. Powell, meanwhile, added six rebounds and three assists. James Harden contributed 23 points, alongside a career-high 17 assists, directing the Clippers’ offense with precision.

Utah, sitting at 12-39, was led by Jordan Clarkson, who posted 24 points, including 14 in a strong first quarter. Keyonte George came off the bench to add 21 points, while Johnny Juzang chipped in 19 points for the Jazz.

The game was competitive early on, with Utah holding a 13-point lead in the second quarter. However, the Clippers quickly closed the gap and took a 58-56 lead into halftime. The Jazz struggled with turnovers, committing 20 throughout the game, which allowed Los Angeles to capitalize for 24 points.

In the third quarter, the Clippers surged ahead with a 36-point period, driven by Powell and Zubac’s offensive contributions. Utah managed to cut the deficit to just 103-101 midway through the final frame, but a 15-2 run by the Clippers sealed the game. Harden’s scoring and playmaking during that stretch, including five points and three assists, proved pivotal.

The Clippers shot 58% from the field and 42.3% from beyond the arc, while also holding the Jazz to 47% shooting overall. The Jazz’s three-point shooting was a mixed bag, as they hit 8-of-18 in the first quarter but finished the game at just 9-of-25 from deep.

Drew Eubanks, acquired from Utah on February 1, left the game in the second quarter with a left ankle sprain. Eubanks had scored four points in six minutes before the injury. MarJon Beauchamp, who joined the Clippers in a trade with Milwaukee, made his debut late in the game and hit a three-pointer in limited minutes.
